TOUCHING GOD WITH INSTRUMENTS MADE OF STEEL AND FLESH

high praiseThe fountain of praise improves increasingly by the hour. As soon as I heard the blast of the saxophone, I knew the next minstrel coming up stage was Bolaji sax. He came in with an intro of “Osuba re re o” with his sax pacing around to fall back to where Laolu left off, he continued without breaking the flow. He maintained an energetic pace; people were not tired of dancing. This is a proof of Nehemiah 8:10 that the joy of the Lord Gives strength, you can imagine singing for more than 8 hours now, and we ain’t getting tired yet. Far beyond what words can describe words can describe were our individual experiences, it may be selfish to express only how blessed i was.

You can see the joy in the people of God as they sing “I know He rescued my soul” “If We call to Him”, etc. In fact the sustain Bolaji Sax did with his saxophone during the praise session was a superb one. As if that wasn’t enough still, he took we the congregation on Igbo medley, the congregation really gave their best in dancing unto the most high God. It didn’t take time before he led us into a session whereby worship songs were rendered in a very fast high praise.

I can see the congregants rolling on the floor when I took an aerial view from the gallery where I am, not even a single soul was in his/her seat, and everyone was on their feet seriously dancing. In a moment he led us into a worship session singing “You be God, You no bi man o”. 317You can see the true expression of worship that comes from the heart from the congregation as he ends the session leading us to sing “More of You”. We all really needed more of Jesus in this season seeing the kingdom of God draws closer and the economy was against the word of God concerning us.

Jesus Pikin took over from him leading us to sing “I have no Other God but You”. He took “Oruko to gbamila o” as a worship song, it was like I’ve never heard the song before. It has become habit of people here to be lying on the floor as soon as any worship song is raised, the songs were all hits no matter how much they were repeated. We could not but worship selflessly before our savior who deserves more than we could afford. The atmosphere bubbled on as Jesus Pikin switched to praise singing “Come lets Praise the Lord”. “There’s no one like Jesus to me” was a song Jesus Pikin led us singing by facing our neighbor to declare the song powerful to him/her.
