Volunteers work selflessly and effortlessly for the good of a cause. For us, that cause is the worship and furthering of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 4:10 says we should use whatever gift we have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

The Marathon Messiah’s Praise is a great opportunity to commit your skills, talent, education, intellect, and time for the good and interests of others, both in the family of faith and those we are bringing into the consciousness of the love of God.
God has blessed Marathon Messiah’s Praise over the years with many hardworking and passionate people, who have found fulfillment in dedicating their time, service, and resources volunteering during the programs. Our volunteers are drawn from various professional backgrounds of society from Health to Media, Engineering, Accountancy, Entrepreneurship, Social work, Graduates, and Students.
Their passion keeps building, they have not stopped volunteering and testimonies have never stopped flowing just as much!
Units available in the Marathon Messiah’s Praise for Volunteers are the Volunteers Praise Team (VPT), Media (restricted), Team Soteria, Sanitation Unit, Medical Unit, and Welfare Unit.

Volunteer Units: Serving with Passion

VOLUNTEER PRAISE TEAM (VPT)

The Volunteer Praise Team [VPT] is the official praise team of the Marathon Messiah’s Praise, made up of zealous individuals who have volunteered their vocal gifts to be a part of our praise team during the annual program. They are anointed, passionate and addicted worshippers that range from established worship leaders, to fast-rising worship leaders and upcoming worship leaders, with the aim of blessing to lives with their culture-shaping ministrations.
To ensure a smooth and perfect ministration, the VPT undergoes a series of rehearsals from December to early February before they arrive for camping three days prior to the Marathon Messiah’s Praise kick-off.

MEDIA UNIT

The media unit consists of volunteers who work alongside the Marathon Messiah’s Praise media team in various capacities. They include Content/Social Media, video editing, blogging, photography, graphics design, and more.
They work to ensure a smooth live online broadcast of Marathon Messiah’s Praise, so our virtual attendees have an immersive worship experience. Among our volunteers are professional digital/social media marketing experts, PR professionals, bloggers, copywriters, professional video editors, professional graphic artists, and photographers.

TEAM SOTERIA

Soul winning is the heartbeat of God and the fuel to make this a reality is prayer. Prayer is the ultimate communication tool with God to realign the destiny and purpose of men lost to the enemy. Soteria is a Greek word that means salvation, protection, and preservation from harm. Team Soteria is a group of people who feel the heartbeat of God to save, protect and preserve the lost and call them back to His Love. They fulfill this demand through evangelism. The team Soteria has been saddled with the responsibility of evangelizing, praying, and counseling during the Marathon Messiah’s Praise.
When we pray and work in the mandate of redeeming lost souls, we are delighting God’s heart because we are obeying His command to disciple the nations.

SANITATION UNIT

Volunteers in the Sanitation unit work to ensure cleanliness at the venue and in the accommodation units provided throughout the event. Since the inception of Marathon Messiah’s Praise, volunteers in the Sanitation unit displayed their unrelenting passion for God’s service by working in some of the uncourteous places at the most difficult times.
Keeping the unkempt places hygienic, making the venue conducive for worship, keeping the hostels tidy, and ensuring that everywhere around the venue looks great has always been their passion and preoccupation.

MEDICAL UNIT

Medical Volunteers assist and work alongside medical practitioners to provide first aid and other medical services at the venue of the program throughout the event duration.
With the required medical equipment, they attend to any situation that requires medical attention on the spot while referrals to the nearest hospital are made in the case of emergencies which have been rare since the inception of the Marathon Messiah’s Praise. We have been privileged to have medical students and practicing medical professionals who have been passionately using their skills, experience, and expertise to serve the Lord in this unit over the years

LOGISTICS UNIT

Logistics volunteers assist with the logistics head to handle the logistic needs of officials, worship leaders, and volunteers to ensure the marathon messiah’s praise is a success
